Feeling Better after Feeling Worse
Most of us walk around holding so many conflicting emotions in. We get hurt and angry and upset and confused and depressed, and it can overwhelm us so that we stop feeling and just go numb.
All energy requires mass to exist, and our emotions are clearly energetic. This makes our bodies the container for all this emotional chaos that life presents. This exercise engages and displaces emotional energy to help you feel better about life.
1. Choose one emotional issue at a time. Focus on the other person involved and give yourself permission to feel the emotions inside you.
2. Write down what you feel. Keep writing until the emotional intensity lessens.
3. Destroy what you have written.
4. Go somewhere nice. Breathe in the beauty that is life.
